Child’s Play:
Outside with my 5 year old nephew watching the world through his eyes. At times I try to pick his brain to get a better feel of what goes on in that innocent head of his. Imagine a world with no Obama-care, or Middle East conflict. Imagine a world with no 9/11 or the thousands of people and soldiers that perished for us to be able to write the very words you’re reading. I chose “Child’s Play” for the title of this picture because nothing these days in easy, unless your blind to whats going on in the real world.
So I am blogging now! First personal blog post, and who better to spotlight but Lucia’s Italian deli and restaurant in Wicker Park (Chicago). This place really is a double threat. By day or its a gem of a deli serving delicious fresh Italian sandwiches and food. By night time the place converts into a perfect intimate Italian restaurant. The food was delicious. I tried their New York strip steak. It was juicy, tasty, and tender.
Lucia’s is B.Y.O.B. and there are 2 places next door for wine or booze. Cellar Rat or my personal recommendation Universal Liquors (friendly faces and prices).
Tips: Ask to be seated outside, its usually cooler than inside and has more “elbow room”.
If you are in Wicker Park or Chicago looking for a quick lunch or nice dinner try Lucia’s on North Ave.
